A depicted person could sue a person who knowingly produces a covered forgery without consent while knowing or recklessly disregarding the lack of consent and likely harm.

What the bill would provide
Action before public disclosure
Specified possession with intent to disclose and solicitation and receipt could be actionable, not only public distribution.
Privacy in court
Courts could allow pseudonyms, redact identifying information, seal documents, and restrict custody of the intimate material.
Ten-year limitations period
The Senate text generally permits filing within ten years of reasonable discovery or, for a minor, within ten years after reaching age 18, whichever is later.
